Background
In 2004, the laboratory was instructed to improve the quality of research and expand its services, and began to prepare for the certification. In March 2006, we obtained the certification for the laboratory (環境保護署環檢字第130號) and completed the two times of the extended evaluation in 2011 and 2016. The laboratory team adheres to the tenet of “independence and justice”, “professional quality” and “team service”, providing the professional technology, high quality service and continuous improvement. The laboratory will also follow the laws and regulations and implement policies to promote sustainable development.
Operating Status
1.Members：The laboratory has a total of 15 members, including 2 doctors, 8 masters, 3 bachelors and 2 specialists.
2.Certificated Category and Species：
(1)Water: Water temperature, pH, conductivity, suspended solids, chloride salt, sulfate, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, copper, cadmium, lead, zinc, chromium, nickel, chemical oxygen demand, total phosphorus, orthophosphoric acid, total organic carbon and business discharge water sampling.
(2)Sediment: Copper, cadmium, lead, zinc, chromium, nickel, arsenic, mercury and sediment sampling.
3.Researches and services：
(1)Water quality monitoring plans for reservoirs, rivers, irrigation water, groundwater, wetlands, fishing port, etc.
(2)Sediment quality survey plan.

(1)Sampling equipment：Portable water quality meters, grab sampler, core sampler, surface velocity radar, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers, etc.
(2)Wet chemistry：Ultraviolet/Visible Spectrophotometer, Flow -Injector Analyzer, Total Organic Carbon Analyzer, Centrifuge, etc.
(3)Heavy metals：Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP/AES), Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) /Flow Injection for Atomic Spectroscopy(FIAS), Mercury Analyzer , Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP/MS), Microwave Digestion, Acid Steam Cleaning System, etc.
(4)Organic compounds：Purge and Trap / Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer.
